Her Majesty’s Theatre: Mardis Gras Performance

BHW dancers put on a great show this year at Her Majesty’s Theatre as part of ‘Mardis Gras’. Annabelle McEwen was excited to take part… “The day I did Mardi-Gras I was literally jumping for joy! Performing on the stage at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End of London, you can see everyone looking back at you and it is quite nerve-racking. But when I started to perform, I came alive and it was definitely one of the best days of my life. It isn’t just on stage that the fun happens, it is also backstage, being with your friends and the atmosphere of getting changed into your costumes and worrying about the performance. Sometimes you worry about things like ‘Am I going to get changed quickly enough?’, but it is always OK because all the girls look out for each other. Also, if you are a younger one then then you have an older buddy to look after you and help you to get changed. I loved Mardi-Gras and I think everyone else that took part loved it too! It was a definitely worth all the hard work! If I got asked to do it again, I would say yes instantly.” More photos available to view http://btphotography.co.uk/galleries/buckhurst-hill–woodford-school-of-dance/
